I’m at a bit of a crossroads here. I just haven’t kept this blog up like I should. Not because I don’t blog any more, but because I have some other places I try to keep up also. I have FatBloggers and my professional blog, plus I’m thinking about adding one or two to the stable in the near future.
When I first started this blog, it was a catch-all for the many activities I have been involved with, plus some random things as well. My other blogs serve a more distinct purpose, and this one has just kind of gone by the way side. Don’t get me wrong; it’s been fun and I’ve sure grown through the process, but now maybe it’s time to close up shop here.
So what should I do with this thing? I hate to just take up space on WordPress.com without any real purpose. I’m not even sure if anybody reads this thing any more!

I’m still lurking in the hallways of anotherstorm. Blog wise though…I believe in focus. If you are only giving some half-hearted effort into one of three, then kill it and really pour into the other two. Hrm…same could be said of so many efforts in life.

I have to go with Matt on this one. It’s better to do 1 or 2 things very well, than to do several in a slap-dash fashion.
But what will be the outlet for the random minutiae of this road we call life?

I think Matt and John make valid points about focus, but I’m not sure I would apply that reasoning to blogging. It’s a hobby that had its origins in the sharing of “the random minutiae of this road we call life.” Sometimes I wish it would stay that way. There are plenty of narrow focussed blogs out there and, of course, I have almost no interest in reading most of them.
And while professional blogs definitely have merit, I don’t read any of those either. My own blogroll is filled with minutiae outlets and I’ll probably keep it that way.
So I hope you’ll have such an outlet, even if it’s not this blog and even if you don’t post regularly or in a focused manner.
On the other hand, you should do whatever the heck you want. It’s a free country!

If its all the same, I would like to see you keep it going.
All three of your blogs are in my Reader… So I am notified when inspiration hits you… wherever that may be.
